Welcome to Lil'Academics Tutoring

Lil’ Academics tutoring was launched to support the literacy and numeracy needs of children from the ages of 4 years to primary school age.  Lil’ Academics recognised a need for school readiness for those children preparing for primary education, especially with their understanding of the school culture, which consists of large class sizes and varying social and academic needs and abilities of the students in the classroom environment.

Lil' Academics understands the importance of learning through play and through open ended rich mathematical investigations, so that children understand early on, that being a life long learner is enjoyable, enriching and purposeful. The better prepared that children are prior to starting school, the more excited they are about entering this next chapter of their life, and the less anxious they are about what lies ahead.

Lil' Academics recognizes that without intervention, the educational gap between academically struggling students and their peers widens throughout their schooling, which can lead students to become disengaged, anxious and to develop low self esteem.

Lil' Academics also recognises that those students working above stage level are rarely extended in the classroom. Lil’ Academics strives to support students in achieving their full potential in both literacy and numeracy, by assessing where they are academically and using the Australian syllabus, as well as the progressions, to extend them beyond their grade level.

Rebecca, the directorof Lil' Academics, holds a Graduate Certificate in Inclusive Education, a Masters of Teaching in Early Education, a Bachelor of Early Education (Primary) and an Associate Diploma in Child studies. Rebecca also has been a 

Reading recovery teacher for 3 years and a Numeracy extension teacher for 4 years.
